NATIONAL POLICY CHALLENGE
TRUE ECONOMIC JUSTICE
Policy Challenge is the flagship event of EJCON.
We, in the true sense, provide economic justice to the issue addressed aimed for the Conclave. The challenge would be framed in a way to induce brainstorms of policies that could be implemented nation-wide to abate this crisis at hand.
The policy suggestions targeted public at the very grass root level and technological solutions that are executively streamlined towards specialized personnel.
The event comprises of three rounds - a preliminary round, a semi-final and a final round. Each round is aimed at testing the abilities of the talented participants in public policy, research analysis and innovation.
The challenge hosted 44 teams of participants in its first edition across India, USA and UK. It addresses the topic “Combating the existential threats of climate change in India – A pathway towards sustainable development”.
The teams go through intense discussions and rebuttal rounds alongside a jury of field experts to judge and improve upon their suggested policies.
EJCON 2020 was honored to have Dr. Manisha Jain, a researcher and visiting faculty at IGIDR, Dr. G Mythili, a researcher with a doctorate in Econometrics, and Mr. Imran Ustad, former supervisor of CHC mitigation projects.
The policy outcome along with outcomes of the Conclave's discussions and panels are submitted to the appropriate regulatory/ governing body by Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics.
